Kashmir has a deep and complex history, dating back to ancient times when it was a center for Buddhism and Hinduism. In the 14th century, it came under Islamic rule, and later became part of the Mughal Empire under Emperor Akbar. During the Mughal era, Kashmir’s natural beauty was celebrated, and many famous gardens and structures were built. The Dogra dynasty later ruled the region in the 19th century under the British Raj. After India's independence in 1947, Kashmir became a disputed territory between India and Pakistan, with both countries claiming parts of the region. Despite political tensions, Kashmir has retained its reputation as one of the most beautiful and culturally rich regions in South Asia
